The data enables the NHS to better understand appointment activity and utilisation and demonstrate the use of general practice across the week, including by healthcare professional and by mode of appointment.

GP Systems Suppliers submit aggregate, GP-level data monthly to NHS Digital via a Secure Electronic File Transfer (SEFT).
