Adult Social Care Digital Social Care Record: Minimum Operational Data Standard (MODS)Person demographics

Details of the person's demographics. It is advisable to use the Personal Demographics Service (PDS) for this purpose. The PDS can be used to verify and employ essential patient demographic information, including but not limited to the patient's name, address, date of birth, contact details, their registered general practitioner (GP), and preferred pharmacy. It also provides a national unique identifier for each patient, known as the NHS number. The Data Set specifications that contain this item will be updated in the next version of the Information Standard where they are not already correct.National code Z - Not Stated should be used where the PERSON has been given the opportunity to state their ETHNIC_CATEGORY but chose not to.
