Ownership of the Trauma and Audit Research Network (TARN) moved back to NHS England (NHSE) under a new Direction and was renamed to the National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR).

This proposal is to urgently re-establish the Trauma Audit and Research Network Notification Data Set under NHSE; it will be renamed the National Major Trauma Registry Data Collection. The last release was approved by the Standardisation Committee for Care Information (SCCI) with Reference code ISB 1606 Amd 12/2013 on 03/10/2014.
